Martin Luther King Jr.

Martin Luther King Jr. was originally born with the name Michael Luther King Jr. As he grew older he began to realize that all colors needed equal rights no matter what culture you are. He spent his life fighting for equal rights. He was the youngest person to win the Nobel peace prize.

He was born on January 15th 1929.Beacause of his Belief and want in equal rights he was assassinated on April forth 1968.But even though he had passed his words lived on because he did have a dream and that dream is now true. All colors live and socialize together just fine.

He is an inspiration to many men woman and children of all cultures. With out this man who knows what the world would be like today. He also had a job as a pastor he laws very religous. He was married to a woman named Coretta Scott. They had four children al together.

There is now a holiday celebrated for him on the third Monday in January. He had dedicated his life to this cause and sadly it took his life so we all should celebrate this holiday as a reminder we are all free. He also graduated from high school at the age of fifteen. He got a B.A. degree in 1948 at Morehouse collage. He attended a segregated public school in Georgia during elementary school years.

He was working in Montgomery, Alabama at the time Rosa Parks started the bus boycott. Martin Luther King also took part in that. While he was working at his church there called Detezire Avenue Church. He was a very religious man involved with his family and church allot.

Martin Luther king jr. was so focused on equal rights he even wrote a speech. He finally decided to read it and lead people on the March to Washinton. There he gave his famous "I have a dream" speech. That speech changed the view of many people all colors.

Many wonder to this day if he didn’t give that speech would we be free.Or if he wasn’t ever alive would it be different.Would it have changed peoples minds.Could we all live like we do now.I’m not sure of those answers either and that ok. Because as long as we can all live together in a country and be friends or whatever else I’m thankful for what did happen. In Martin Luther King Jrs. Speech I have a dream he stated that “One day children of slaves and children of slave owners will be able to sit at a table of friendship together.”
